Nope, he was the first Blue Jacket ever taken in an entry draft, but not in the 2000 expansion draft. Good try.

Thanks for the support. Do you have some money riding on tonight's outcome or do you just want to see the Jackets beat the Kings?

The Kings have been a disappointment this season. When making predictions before the season started, people seemed to forget that the Kings can't score goals. Add to that their struggles on the defensive side of the puck and there is certainly an opening for CBJ in this one.

It's funny because the Kings shouldn't have any trouble scoring goals. They have so many guys that have scored at least 25 goals in a season before. Kopitar, Brown, Carter, Richards, Gagne, Williams, Penner all have scored at least close to that mark or more in a season before. Plus they have Doughty on the blue line too. It shouldn't be this tough for them to score goals.

I hope are defense core is up for it tonight , 4 guys are lower then 25 years of age , this will either be interesting or a total disaster.

Or both. This will be Holden's first NHL game I believe and Goloubef has just 1 game of experience. When Goloubef and Erixon comprise half of your top-4 it creates an interesting dynamic. Wouldn't it be something if they managed to shut down the Kings tonight with that defense corps?

I'm actually expecting Goloubef to play himself into a spot on the team as a reliable shutdown guy, so yeah should be interesting if they do manage to hold off the kings.

Good memory Glen! But I actually do not have any money riding on the game. I just want to see the jackets win. You guys have struggled too long. I want to see your boys pull a senators and make some unexpected noise!

It can happen!! Just look at the Sens! We have let in just 3 goals our last two losses and literally half our D-men are AHL'ers!

Sure Andy has a hand in that, but imo Bobrovsky has the ability to elevate his game.

I notice Foligno is not doing so much "stat" wise. How's he looked outside of the stats? As a sens fan we are loving Methot.

I try. Besides, to date I haven't had that many different commenters. Very glad to see a lot of repeats though. Welcome back, it's good to see you again.

In truth, I think we can make some noise this year but I'd expect them to be more of a contender come 2014 - 2015.

I think it's taken some time for several of the new forwards to find some chemistry. Foligno looks like a keeper though. He works and forechecks.

Actually, while Bob was playing well early it's Mason that is getting the start again tonight. He was very good against Detroit the other night in the win and he did well in relief of Bob against St. Louis. It'll be interesting if Mason plays well again tonight.

Yes they did!! Ding-ding we have a winner. Just curious; did you know that or did you have to look it up? I had to look it up. For some reason I was thinking Marc Denis but they actually traded for him after taking Tabaracci 1, Roloson and Frederic Chabot, all goalies with their first three picks in the expansion draft.

i remembered that draft, a couple of kings were taken in that draft, steve mckenna to cbl and sean o donnell to minnesota.

btw, drew doughty hurt on what is an apparent foot injury. just what we need , more D problems....

Nice memory!

Tell me about it, the Jackets have four guys with fewer than 25 games in the NHL or something like that in the lineup because of injuries. Crazy.

Not able to watch game live. How bad was Doughty's injury?

he came back after geting a shot blocked off his foot. rob scuderi had a nasty hit from behind. we can't lose anymore guys from the d on our team. mitchell and greene are already out, so yeah. scuds came back too.
